All people are transformers
It’s 8.15am and the little people in this room are opening their eyes, while I have been up for aprox 1.5h going through some inner transformations as I happen to do almost every other day now. K (4) had fallen asleep with a broken lego beside him as he was too tired to fix it last night. So this is the first thing he does after saying good morning to me and gently touching his brother to greet him too into the new day. In a few moments, the lego invention is fixed…
K: “Mommy, do you like my trasnformer?”
Me: “Oh, I LOVE transformers! In fact, I am one of them…I wake up feeling lonely for example, and then in 20 minutes, I feel connected to all that is and I’m in bliss. Transforming is my favourite thing to do! So, I am a transformer.”
K: “All people are transformers then!”
Me: “Well..they are, but not everyone is aware of that. Some people wake up being cars and then they are cars for their whole lives and they never realise they are transformers…and that they could also be a plane if they wanted to.…or whatever they want…”
K: “I am a transformer. And Maru is too. We can transform how we feel and we can be planes.”
Me. “Yes, boys, you two are transformers.”
This, in many ways, concludes my whole life I think. Cause all I do is simply remind people that they are transformers, go through the initial transformations with them, teach them skills to transform and support their transformations as long as they ask me to be there…
At first, people are afraid to transform. Afraid to let go of “all that they know, even if it’s not serving them any longer”. It takes courage and support to not believe your current state to be the whole truth, go through those initial “scary” ones and gather some confidence and stamina.
But with time and support and practice, we get more skilled. We start to respect and love the deep waters and we start to dive in on our own accord. It’s wise to have some “life guards” (friends, guides, therapists, healers…) in your life who can pull you up when you accidentally forget how to swim in the midst of muddy waters. And you will get better and better at this. And in time, you will come to enjoy this. You will become SO skilled that it becomes easy and interesting and fun. It becomes your favourite thing to do! “What’s that I woke up with? Worthlessness? Cool. Let’s go!” You will reach a point when you KNOW that you CAN, and you are not afraid anymore. 10 000 hours of practice, my love.
And to my dearest clients who have trusted me enough…I’m always humbled and honoured to be part of your journey and support your next step, wherever you are on your personal path. And I just invite you to give yourself some love and compassion and do not compare yourself with anyone. I’ve been doing this in an aware way for over 20 years in this life and probably more in previous ones and I’ve always been privileged and lucky enough to have world class support throughout my life. I’ve not made it alone, or fast; but slowly and through surrender, and that has helped me to develop a pretty strong core and I’m sure there will be times (maybe even tomorrow) when I will crumble again, lose my footing and reach out for a helping hand. So I know what it takes and I know that it’s not easy for a long while…..until it is. Until you know your true form and enjoy the whirlwind and surrender and melting that takes you back home.
And. I’m just reminding you. Or even K is reminding you, that YOU are a TRANSFORMER. And let no one (even your own mind and experience) tell you otherwise!
